Suitable for the smallest of spaces and minimizes the danger of buckling Now in the online shop at HASCO America Inc. 270 Rutledge Road, Unit B Fletcher, NC 28732 USA Laser Welding Produces Limited Heat, Minimizing Mold Deformation The Lase One laser welder available from Rocklin Manufac- turing sister company Equipment Sales Co. is designed to repair plastic injection molds, rubber processing molds, and die casting molds and dies made of aluminum, steel, and beryllium copper. It is particularly well-suited for repairs on aluminum molds used for prototype or production runs, as well as traditional steel molds. The limited heat produced by the welder's pulse-pulled plasma arc process is designed to minimize mold and die deformation, and results in easier and cleaner fnishing, the company says. Typical applications are parting lines, corners, edges, pin holes, scratches and machining errors. Additionally, Rocklin manufactures the MoldMender micro-welder for repairing plastic injection molds, rubber processing molds, and die-casting molds and dies made of steel. This system produces interlinking spot welds to bond metallic ribbon, wire, paste or powder to damaged areas of a workpiece, using the same or similar materials as the workpiece. There is virtually no heat, so shrink lines and other cosmetic defects are eliminated, the company says. Surface fnishing may be done by EDMing, grinding, machining, plating or polishing to obtain the desired sharp edges or other contours. Equipment Sales Co. / Rocklin Manufacturing Co. /
